Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, you will be warmly received and transferred to Pahalgam, also known as the “Valley of Shepherds.” On reaching Pahalgam, check in at your hotel and take some time to relax. Later, enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings and take a leisurely walk along the banks of the Lidder River. Pahalgam is not only known for its stunning landscape but also serves as the base camp for several trekking routes and the annual Amarnath Yatra pilgrimage.

After breakfast, set out to explore the scenic beauty of Pahalgam. You will visit Betaab Valley, a breathtaking location surrounded by lush greenery and snow-capped peaks, named after the Bollywood film Betaab. Then, proceed to Chandanwari, the starting point of the sacred Amarnath Yatra, which is popular for its snow bridge and opportunities for snow sledding (activities and transport on direct payment basis).

Additionally, you can opt for a horse-riding trip to Baisaran Meadows, often called “Mini Switzerland,” also on a direct payment basis. If time permits, a visit to Aru Valley, located 12 km from Pahalgam, is highly recommended. This scenic spot is known for its rolling meadows and as a base camp for treks to Kolahoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake.

Following breakfast, check out from your hotel in Pahalgam and drive back to Srinagar. Upon arrival, embark on a half-day city tour to explore the famous Mughal Gardens, commissioned by Emperor Shah Jahan. Visit the Nishat Bagh, which offers magnificent views of Dal Lake with the Pir Panjal range in the backdrop. Then proceed to Shalimar Bagh, the royal garden built by Emperor Jahangir for his beloved wife, Nur Jahan.

You will also visit Cheshma Shahi, a charming garden built around a freshwater spring during Shah Jahan’s reign. In the evening, visit Nehru Park, located across Dal Lake, where you can relax at the coffee shop or explore its famous book stalls.

After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, known as the “Meadow of Flowers,” which is about a 2-hour scenic drive from Srinagar. Once in Gulmarg, you can enjoy a gondola ride (at your own cost), one of the highest cable cars in the world, taking you up to Kongdoori and Apharwat Peak. The gondola ride offers panoramic views of snow-covered mountains and alpine forests.

For those interested in adventure, activities like skiing, rock climbing, and trekking are available, depending on the season. Golf lovers can also visit the Gulmarg Golf Course, one of the highest and most picturesque in the world.

Post breakfast, head out on a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, also known as the “Meadow of Gold,” situated around 90 km northeast of Srinagar. Surrounded by snow-covered peaks and lush green meadows, Sonamarg offers several recreational options. You can hire a pony or union cab (at additional cost) to visit the Thajiwas Glacier, which remains snow-clad throughout the year.

Enjoy optional activities like horse riding to explore Baltal Valley or Zero Point, and don’t forget to take memorable photographs of the serene surroundings.
